Former X Factor star Sam Callahan has been announced as a new ambassador for National Bullying Helpline.

Callahan, who recently revealed he was seriously assaulted while on tour as an X Factor contestant, commented 'I am honoured to be an ambassador for the National Bullying Helpline, I know my experience will help others identify and understand that it doesn't matter who you are, bullying can affect anyone. The most important thing is not to hold it in because silence is consent, it may feel scary but I want to encourage people to speak up'.
